| The EGS plant is located
in France near Poitiers, at Châtellerault, in the Poitou-Charentes
region. The Futuroscope theme park is a nearby symbol of how this
dynamic region is drawn towards the future. The interweaving of mechanical
and electrical industries perfectly illustrates the will to build
bridges between the present and the future, through creative anticipation.
Sited on the banks of the Vienne River, the EGS building in itself
illustrates part of our corporate philosophy - nature, simplicity,
accessibility, and clarity. |

communication |

A public relations unit defines, implements and coordinates action
in each geographic region, in association with area managers, retailers
and customers. Studio Design establishes the communications tools
to provide each link in the marketing chain with resources such as
product catalogues, POP, technical data information, posters, etc.

closely modeled on the market |
| Organized
in 4 major areas, the EGS Business team interacts directly with customers
whether they are from the USA, Europe or Asia. We have representatives
to complement this presence by country or by area who provide a skilled
logistical and technical link. Each area has EGS-specific ITS (International
Technical Support) made up of six persons altogether, who provide
customers with logistical support in terms of advice, training, and
after-sales service. A subsidiary team was recently set up in Chicago,
Illinois. |

The company is characterized by its technological and marketing culture
that is extremely open and reactive to input from the outside, with
a broad mix of people of different backgrounds, languages, training
and experience. From the outset, the competition and the extreme bike
were used as testing material for both prototypes and industrialized
products. The average age of the company subsidiaries included, is
29. There are four sales/marketing areas which cover the markets and
meet the requirements of customers, OEM, manufacturers and retailers

| How
to revitalize the market |
| |
and restore the profit margins... |
|
With over fifteen staff employed in new projects/designs, development
and finalization, EGS has a Task Force such as is not often seen in
a company so young. The aim of innovation is always the same - finding
new solutions which benefit each link in the market chain : OEM, manufacturer,
retailer, and end user. The Châtellerault team has the opportunity
to take a bike straight out and test our products in the great outdoors.
This favorable environment leaves the R&D department absolute free
to work and express itself, with invaluable rapid two-way communications
with the other departments in the company. The Studio Design department
uses a cross-disciplinary approach, involving the entire company,
and is involved very early on in each new project, including with
the competition Team. The company's identity, and that of its products,
is steered with a firm desire to achieve overall consistency. |
